Strata Stones was established in 2005 with the aim of importing high quality natural stone paving into the UK. It has a unique advantage of being the only company to control the whole chain from source to supply, something which no other company can match even today. Due to this advantage we not only offer a superior quality product with better packaging, keeping health and safety in mind, but can assure all our customers that our products have been ethically produced.
Strata Stones has enjoyed rapid growth over the past 5 years and today is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of an innovative and comprehensive range of natural stone landscaping products into the market.
At our distribution site in Ipswich, we stock over 7500 pallets of paving material at all times, assuring a constant supply to all our customers.
Stone Age Limited was established in 1991 and since then has become one of the largest natural stone producer and exporter from India.
Based in Jaipur, a beautiful town situated in North West of India, Stone Age prides itself in owning a state of the art production facility spread over 45,000 square metres and employing nearly 300 people. The facility is not only one of the better ones in India but can match any modern facilty from the western world.
A ‘Government of India’ recognised company, Stone Age has been receiving awards from various Government bodies for many years not only for exports but also for it’s ethical standards.
For us ethical trading is not a means to get more business but is a deeply rooted belief and the cornerstone of our existence.
We strongly believe in adhering to a strict framework of policies and regulations. In accordance with this belief, the company has undergone a process of stringent audits over the years. Besides being a “Government of India” recognised company, Stone Age has been accredited with ISO9001:2000 too.
Stone Age runs a charitable foundation involved in providing education and medical treatment to the needy and contributes to it on a monthly basis and the amount they donate is commensurate with the growth of the company. It has helped built infrastructure for a school close to it’s factory where more than 200 children from surrounding areas study free of cost.
In recognition of it’s charitable work the Government of Rajasthan honoured the company with the highest State award during 2007.
I am a garden designer/ landscape gardener based in the New Forest , lucky to enjoy a month’s holiday touring Rajasthan with my wife. A visit to the Stone Age factory (Strata Stones parent company), was a day-trip I’d wanted to fit in.
We only gave a few hours notice, but Pawan, the owner, met us and gave us a good couple of hours of his time. The factory is excellent. We were both impressed with its organized, clean, and happy working environment. The yard area was as well organised as any landscape supplies business I visit in the UK. We were allowed total access, and good working ethics and a safe environment was evident throughout.
The Managing Director took us to the school which Stone Age are building in the nearby village – with Stone Age money two classrooms are now thirty, and village children, not just those of employees, now enjoy an education. My wife, not in the garden trade, was equally impressed and enjoyed the afternoon. I can now assure my customers of this company’s professional excellence.
